Herbal Bath Satche

A traditional herbal formulation used to prevent irritation and infection of the genital area. Malays believe it hastens the recovery of the surgical wounds or cuts during births, and helps improve post birth fatigue. It is also used for bath, hydrotherapy to relieve muscle ache and swelling.

Key Ingredients

Piperaceae Folium – Betle Leaf / Daun Sireh

Used to protect vaginal tissues from damages and neutralize free radicals due to overgrowth of vagina flora.

Mimusops Elengi Folium – Daun Bunga Tanjung

Almost unknown outside Malaysia. It is believed to have strong skin healing properties.

Tamarindus Indica Cortex – Tamarind / Asam Jawa

Its antiseptic properties are widely recognised in the East and it is used by Malays to heal the wounds of childbirth.

Citrus Hystrix Fructus – Kafir Lime / Limau Purut

An anti inflammatory widely used in aromatic herbal baths. It helps soothe sores and reduce joint pains.

Directions

Put one to two sachets into a bath tub with warm water. Stir well till colour turns herbal brown and add two spoons of salt. Bathe for 15 minutes and use cotton to cleanse the affected area. Take a herbal bath once a day from Day 1 after childbirth. Followed with herbal body scrub.
