Barut
For centuries, the traditional Barut has been widely used by Malay mothers as an integral part of helping the new mother reduce her weight and regain her figure
The Barut helps push up the uterus, clear water retention, reduce wind and strengthen and firm up the stomach muscles.
It is common for postnatal care women to use the Barut from Day 4 until Day 44 after childbirth. In the old days, mothers used to wrap their daughters after childbirth with the Barut by using the old traditional method in wrapping. However, we have simplified the design of the Barut so you can wrap your stomach/abdominal area with the Barut yourself.
Directions
Starting from Day 4 after childbirth, the Barut is used after the herbal preparation cream is applied on your stomach/abdominal and waist area. It is advisable to wrap the Barut while you are lying on the floor. Start adjusting the Barut strings whilst you are standing. Wear the Barut for at least 7 hours a day, you can also wear it whilst you are sleeping.
The Barut is machine washable.
** Women who have had a ceasarian section are not advised to use the Barut.
